Macbook pro with new SSD installed

There are several reasons why your computer can be running slowly. It may have been infected by a virus or the space on the hard drive may be almost full.

If it is an older machine then as operating systems are updated they get bigger and more complicated and that slows everything down. This problem can be helped by installing more short term memory (RAM) to help big programmes run faster. Another upgrade that can make a very big difference is to replace the hard drive with a solid state drive (SSD). A lot of a computer’s time is spent writing or reading information to or from the hard drive. A solid state drive can speed this process dramatically so that, for example, the start up time for a machine is reduced by three quarters.

There are ways to help with all of these, I can help you identify the problem and tackle it.
